I am in the middle or replacing my front axle u joints and am needing the torque specifications for the following parts when i re-install tomorrow.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

1. The four bolts that hold the bearing and rotor studs
2. The two 18mm bolts that hold the caliper in place on the rotor
3. The axle nut

 

1. The four bolts that hold the bearing and rotor studs

149 ft. lbs.

2. The two 18mm bolts that hold the caliper in place on the rotor

130 ft. lbs.

3. The axle nut

Install axle washer and nut. Tighten axle nut to 132 ft. lbs.
Rotate axle 5 to 10 times to seat the wheel bearing.
Tighten axle nut to final torque of 263 ft. lbs.
Align nut to next cotter pin hole and install new cotter pin.

 

Hi all, new to the forum. WOW what a wealth of information.
I'm replacing both front hub assemblies on my 06 2500 Laramie. two new timkens coming tommorrow. Gathering info before I start.Having a hard time finding the torque spec for the front axle nut.(Does everyone agree with papaduck that is 263ft. lb.He sounds very knowledable.Ive seen anywhere from 130 to 180 to 265.Thanks for the help.
