This is completly out of topic here but you guys are pretty sharp so I gotta ask.
I am deployed for the next five weeks and the wife calls and says that her 00 Durango is physically shifting to 2nd gear! She has to reach up and put it back in drive. This happens at highway speeds which you could expect this could be dangerous. Please help with any thoughts.

Shift rod out of adjustment, maybe. Does the shifter fall into the cocked position in D, or does it sit between the D lock and the 2nd gear lock? Where in Fl., I am in the Orlando area.

 

Hilliard real close to Ga, honestly I can't give any more info. I'm in Oklahoma City and the wife calls and tells me this. Worried about her being on the road with it. She says " the little 2 is lit up"
