Need help with 0336 code, Crank sensor cct
So about a week ago the truck started to miss occasionaly when driving it hard. Then it started missing at all the time and now it does it at idle. Pull the codes and I get an 0336 code, crank sensor cct.
I've replaced the crank sensor with a new one and checked the wiring going around the AC pump and its good and in a loom. I've also disconnected the Edge to to be sure.
Any other suggestions?

OK I figured it out, the bolts that hold the harmonic balancer onto the crank came loose, one was missing altogether. This allowed the tone wheel behind it to be loose and was causing the erratic crank sensor reading.
I've read that the holes in the tone wheel can be elongated and indexed to adavanced timing. Whats the advantages of this and which way does the tone wheel need to be turned to do this? My holes are elongated a bit from the bolts being loose already.
