need a front driveshaft

need a front driveshaft

any suggestions as of where to buy,best price ect.I checked the classifides and there is one but its off an 06 not sure if it will work.oh yeah pulling someone out.

The front driveshafts are the same for 03 and up only difference is manual or auto trans.

Price out Dodge. We found it's actually cheaper to get a brand new shaft than overhaul the double cardan joint on a 3rd gen truck.

Yes. Same front axle and transfer case, so same driveshaft. I don't know why, but it seems there are always some available on ebay? Are a lot of people just taking them out?

Just had to get a driveshaft for my 03 2500. The used replacement I got is from an 04 3500 DRW. The only difference seems to be the size of the cardan joint section.

I got it a little cheaper through my brother, but normal cost would've been $150. He got it through LKQ (OEM Recycler here in Omaha), who actually got it from somewhere out of state. Car-parts.com is a good place to do your own search of junkyards.
