need Electrical diagram
need Electrical diagram
Where is the best place to get an Electrical diagram for the 2005, 3500 SRW
CTD Dodge truck ???
I am looking for the correct wire colors to the running light, and trailer light relays ???
Also is Dodge now using a "computer" signal bus from the light switches to the ECM computer, instead of direct "on-off" of the switch function to the lights ???
Can the ECM computer be "re-programmed" to allow things like the Fog lights to be on with BOTH High and Low beams ??
(I can't do the jumper trick on the Fog light relays, like the older trucks can do), ECM seems to control all the relays, not the light switches.

Thanks, that was what I needed.
I am trying to put in a switch to momentarily turn the running lights off (blink them).
Unfortunately, because of the new Electrical and Electronics in the 2005 model Ram, I can't hook things up the way I want to.
So what I am going to do is connect my Push button switch to a relay on the firewall, that will open it's contacts when I push the switch, and then connect that relay's contacts to Relay 73 (Park Lamp Relay) in the Power Control Module (fuse block). I will bend the Pin 86 (coil lead) of Relay 73 over (90 degrees) and connect one of my wires to it, and then connect the other wire to a "push pin" connector and push it back in the Relay 73 socket, and bend it 90 degrees to clear the relay, put a couple pieces of tape on top of it and then re-install the relay in the socket. That will allow Relay 73 to be controlled by my dash Push button and relay. I now will be able to "Blink" my running lights on the truck and trailer.
But, if you try this, make sure you buy a new relay as a spare, in case it breaks or something.
