Angry My truck is cranking but no start.

Please help me to troubleshoot this issue. Im cranking the engine for about 10 seconds at a time and it seems like it want to start but then it dies. I was able to check the fuel flow at the filter and the fuel filter housing is filling up no problem but I can't say what happens to the fuel from there on, if the fuel injection pump gets any or if it makes it to the injectors. I know for sure that I have brand new batteries Optima and they hold power, no joke. I 've already checked the battery connectors and they are tight and rust free. After doing some reading, I went ahead and pulled fuse#6 and nothing changed, I have checked all the fuses and they're good. Also I was reading about ECM being bad but it's hard to believe. Anyways, I have disconnected the batteries over night and the next day I got a bunch of codes, about 20, like 0069/0236/1755/0336/0698/2149/0335/0643/0108/0653/0541/2121/0652/2128/2123/0699/0243/0480/02509/2146. Crazy, right? At some point I even had some serious smoke coming from a wire connected between the passenger side battery + post and a cylinder which seats forward down next to the same battery, but the the smoke went away. I don't know what to say and I need the truck badly to commute to work. Thank you for your advices.

Try disconnecting your battery negatives. Let it sit for 10 min. and then re-install. If this fixes the issue it is due to the sentry key security issues. If not, TIPM like the guy had that just posted he got his fixed.

Are you getting any smoke out of the exhaust while cranking? If so, then you're getting fuel. If not, I'd start looking at cranking pressures.....RP should be at least 3k psi or more for the ECM to fire the injectors. Of the codes you listed the only ones that jump are the ones that deal with your injector wiring harness circuits and the P2509 (Powerdown data lost).

All others dealt with APPS voltage high/low, cylinder banks voltage hi/low, and fan circuit. Ohm out your injector harness and make sure it's not the issue. If that checks out, disconnect your fan harness as BigIron stated in another post and see if that helps. If all else fails, go with Spoolers advice about the Sentry key issue.....try your other key!!!!

Keep us posted on what you find.
