Like they said the shortbeds allready have a one piece shaft. Take it to a good driveline shop and have them replace the u-joints and balance the shaft.

what about guys with 2004.5-2005 trucks, putting down big power or sled pulling, etc?

Trans even shifts much better. I bought this truck with 30k miles on it and it has never drove as good as it does now. 2 piece rear shaft was a huge mistake by Dodge from the factory, in my opinnion!!

Give the guys @ www.doghousediesel.com a shout, they could probably answer any questions about big power. In my opinnion, I think a one piece would be better to sled pull with vice a 2 piece. Less moving parts.
