No I will not ever buy another dodge again.

The programer is not what caused the tranny to go out. The govenor solonoid is what started the problem (per the opinion of the dealer) but the DODGE rep said "he had a programmer NO WARRANTY" . Dodge knows their trannys suck and they look for any excuse to not cover the warranty period.

Anyone know how much profit the dealer and or dodge makes on these trucks. Just curious to put the pencil to paper on how much a 2600 tranny cost them. You figure I buy a new truck every 3 years, I am 35 now and Im going to live to at least 55. Thats 20 years or about 7 new trucks I plan to buy. So 7xdeealer profit And 7xdodge profit. That is how much they lost from me. Now If I can convince only one other person to never buy a dodge again.

So now Im stuck buying a tranny. Decided to go with James in midolothian, think its a dtt.
About all you'll do is convince someone not to put a programmer on there truck. Dodge transmissions are fine and your problem was from user error and expecting too much from a stock transmission. What do you think would happen to an Allison or a Torqueshift if you added roughly 90 hp/200 ft lbs?, they'd grenade as well. If you can afford to buy a new truck every 3 years, than obviously you have no problem affording an aftermarket trans. In that case, why didn't you just buy the trans before you added the programmer and be done with it? Did you really think a stock transmission was going to be happy with that kind of power?

It's because of people like you that Dodge had to change their warranty length from 7/70 to 3/36, and why when any Cummins comes into a dealership with transmission problems that it's dissected down to the last nut and bolt because owners think that if they screw up the transmission with a programmer then Dodge should automatically replace it because they didn't build it strong enough in the first place.

Even a 4 cylinder car driven as you stated "30mph and punch it" won't hold up forever let alone a torque monster like the Cummins. By the way one of the biggest seat of the pants differences you feel with the programer is that the can modify the torque managment parameters that are designed to keep us from breaking our trucks due to poor self control of the right foot.
