you named it and I agree, I think it is a governor pressure sensor or solenoid.

what codes did it give you?

Torque converter I'm thinking. Happened 5 times on my '98 and I never pulled anything more than two quads on a bumper pull 8x12 utility trailer. You'll never see me with a slushbox again.

I see the automatic Dodge trannies are consistant in living their reputation. Not necessarily on this site, but I'm hearing more of these stories around home again now that the dealers around here are bringing in more autos than manuals - it used to be vice versa.

It Is A Lot Easier To Read If You Don't Capitalize Every Word.

Plus it is faster to type this way, isn't it?

You have no sig to let us know what you have done to the truck, if anything, what kind of miles, what you were hauling.

Or do we have a troll?

I took time to read all radicalray's posts. He is using the truck beyond its limits by pulling a 50' car hauler, carrying an add'l 98 gallons of fuel in an aux. tank and putting over 100,000 miles on it (according to him) in a year. All this and still has time to have it tied up at a dealer 23 times for repairs.

His posts are hard to read/understand, as well as somewhat unbelievable. Hence, my opinion of thinking he is a troll stirring the pot.

If it is all true, he needs to ditch the pickup and get a real truck (at least a 1 1/2 or a 2 ton truck with the proper powertrain) to do what he is trying to make a 1 ton pickup do. Abuse causes things to break.

well it does sound like a gov pressure transducer, i usually replace both the transducer and soleniod, but it could be a converter but the sudden occurence of the symptoms suggests electrical concerns.
