The stock muffler didn't fair to well in 4 years of chicago winters and the outlet flange rusted away. Of course that means the tail pipe started flopping around.

I ordered a new muffler but I don't think I am going to get it today, even though I had it shipped 2 day. My question is would you drive it around for a few days without the tailpipe coming out of the muffler? The muffler is still there just no pipe coming out of it.

 

My buddy had the same thing happen on the input flange of his muffler. It's on an 04 dually. He's been driving it that way for a while.

 

cut that bad boy off and run a straight pipe

 

And there you have it !!!

 

Well that is an option.

I guess I will just fog out the underside of my truck until the new muffler shows up.
