Is it in the morning during the first crank when the grid heaters are working? If the voltage gauge is under 14 volts, then the grid heater is on and it will cause it to stutter a little when it cuts off and on. You have no issues if this is the case.

My '03 had a miss once in awhile that gradually got worse over the course of 1k miles or so. It got to the point (in a day) that it would Not miss once in awhile. Took it to the dealer and he swapped out the dead #1 stick at about 97k miles.

Any codes?

turn the a/c off COMPLETELY, no defrost..etc...
Mine does it, really hear it better with the aftermarket exhaust... For mine, its the a/c compressor cycling on and off..

Mine my 07 has done this "Once in a blue moon". LOL I always wondered but yep I had it idling when cold. Bet it was the grid heater scenario.

mine does it really bad when its cold out. when i start it the truck goes into a really high idle and you can hear the misses here and there.

one thing i dont get is why my truck goes into a high idle to warm up at start off, then it wont shut down for about a min and you hit the brake and the high idle will stop. then after about 30 seconds it goes back into high idle on the cold days. but then my dads 03 will start up and run normal then after a min or so it goes into high idle for like 30 seconds.

i dont understand how 2 03 trucks and same motor act so different
