ramtuff, you can set it anywhere between 1000-1500 RPM, but if e-brake equipped will be limited to 1350 RPM
Hounddog, not sure about the 03, but I would say if you could get the reflash for poor heat, or had a BUlly Dog program, it would probably work

AJ, sorry I couldn't be much help to you, I really appreciate the info you provided to help me get this done. didn't catch your location, but if you are anywhere near SW PA. I would get this done for you. Do you know anyone close to you who has a Bully Dog Downloader & an 05 truck? I have not actually tried this, but according to what I've been told it should work. You can't progam 2 trucks from the BDDL at the same time, but you can program a second truck if you set the first one back to stock, & I know that when set back to stock mode the high idle feature stays intact. So, (in theroy, as I said have not tried it yet) someone running the downloader could set theirs back to stock, then program yours to, tow, performane or extreme, then back to stock, then you would have the high idle feature, then go back & program theirs however they wanted. just another option if you can find a decent dealer. thanks again
Just thought maybe some of you were out of town for the holiday when I posted this, so here it is again
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!! IT WORKS!! IT WORKS!!!!! IT WORKS!!!!!!!!
toooooo cool!!!!! want high idle on your manual?? remove plug B on the PCM (the one toward the rear of engine) you have to disconnect the whole plug from the PCM, (there is a 4mm allen screw in the center) push the sealing plug out of #22, I used a paper clip (starting at to left, count across, there are 50 pins total, #22 is second in from left, third row down) you have to aquire a PCM connector pin somewhere (I have a tech friend that had an old harness lying around) make up a wire to go to a ground, then all you have to do is have it enabled, same as trucks with autos I didn't have to have mine enabled because this feature is built into the Bully Dog programming, so as soon as I connected the ground wire, I was able to use mine REAL SIMPLE MOD, took about 20 minutes counting making up the wire SSSWWWEEEEEEETTTTTTT

"Well, I have a 05 with a 6 speed in it, and when it is below 34 F it will idle up to a 1000 rpms untill the engine temp. is higher than the outside."
My 03 SO with a stick also has a high idle in cold weather when starting up.

got mine from a friend who is a tech at local dealer, I beleive he told me that they are the same on most all PCM's on DC vehicles, from mid 90's up. should be able to find one at your local dealer (from a replaced harness, ask around with the techs) or maybe a salvage yard. what you are looking for is a very small female pin, smaller than a pencil lead. make sure that you cut the wire long enough to go to a ground or splice it.
I have grounded the #22 pin on the B connector on the ecm and now the DRB will not give me an option to enable this function. any ideas? mine is an early '04 with the 305/555. Maybe,I just can't find this function. If someone could walk through the DRB sequence it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
My idea is that a early 04 is the same as a 03 and the download is NOT there. It has to installed THEN enabled. The newer trucks the down load is already in the ecm it just has to be enabled.
Not sure but its NOT available on 03s.There was a ECM change.I thought it was a late 04/05 thing.Maybe 04.5.Some it could be downloaded and then enabled.Later models the down load was there it just had to be enabled.03s would not take the download.

not sure on the early 04's maybe someone with an early auto could chime in & let you know, if their's works, you should be able to do it
