How difficult is it to change out the main drive line u joints in a 6 speed 2006 3500 Ram? Thanks

 

Removing the shaft is straightforward enough. As far as the joints, the epoxy retainer is a pita to get out to remove the caps unless you have a cutting torch handy to heat the crap out of the stuff to make it expand out. The double cardan joint is no biggie either except for the epoxy retainer. The job took me about 4 hours start to finish.

 

If they have been changed snap ring pliers vice and a couple sockets to press joints out then back in
