I've got the PML. Less expensive than Mag. Still very nice quality. No problems in around 20k miles.

I have a problem spending $180 for a diff cover, especially when I found out that you can get the oem Ford alum diff cover that comes standard on 08+ superduties for about $67.

I will probaly got for the PML covers when I do this mod just because of the price. You could save at least $130. I will have to look into the pherd cover, just the thought of putting a pherd part on my truck makes me . I didn't know that they had AAM axles in them.

Hello,

I just checked some quality differences and was not impressed. The gasket seal is a concern. The Mag-Hytec has an O-ring and take a look at the fin difference. The black color adds $40.00 to the PML cover making the price about $30.00 dollars apart retail. Do you have different info? My check was pretty quick.

He was asking about a trans pan, not rear end cover.

My PML trans pan isn't black, it's aluminum. If it were powdercoated, I'd think that would hold in heat and wouldn't be good.

I have the PML transmission pan and rear differential pan on my 2005. They have been on the truck for a little over two years and 25,000 miles. I have had zero problems with either of the pans. I run the PML instead of the Mag because of the price and the sand cast material without the powder coat was what I wanted. Ed B

I have the Mag on my '06. Bought that one because it's already drilled and tapped for a temp sender. Paid $250 shipped from Geno's.

i have both the pml diff covers-great product. i had the pml tranny pan- which holds two additional quarts of fluid- i noticed no drop in tranny temps. switched to the mag hytec tranny pan and i got lower temps of roughly 15-20 degrees.

I have had the PML pan since 03 and no problems, love it. I noticed about a 50 degree temp drop from the stock pan although I did move my temp probe from the port in the side of the tranny to the pan when I installed it.
I thought people were saying that they saw no drop with the Mag pans supposedly because of the powder coating. Anyway RJM seen a difference with the Mag so I don't know.
