low voltage detected to fuel pmp

replaced turbo new factory engine starts ok shift in d engine smoking code po628 low voltage to pmp iwas told that i needed to take my truck to a dealer to re programing the ecm is this thrue help please

Sounds like a bad lift pump. What year is your tuck?
