P2262 Turbo Pressure Not Detected
Well, got the dreaded P2262 today. Turbo pressure not detected. Truck just turned 12,000 mile a few days ago and I'm not happy to say the least. I've read some of the other threads on here about what to look for. I'm going to be taking it to the dealer and see what they say. I'm going to print some of this stuff out and take it with me to the dealer. Any other advice you all might be able to give me would be great.

MMMmmmm.... Grits!!
Sorry to hear that sir. Do you not drive the truck much? My daily commute is around 30 miles each way with stop and go mostly. Once in a while I take the Beltline to give it a little more heat. BTW which dealer are you going to?

I don't drive it much. I've had it since about July of 07 and it's only got 12k on it. When I drive it, I hit it pretty hard though. Never had a problem up until now. Still runs great. I haven't noticed any difference in that. We'll wait and see what they say. The only halfway decent dealer I know of in this area is Hendrick, unless you go the lowdown on another one that might be able to help.

I've worked with most of the guys at Garner. I know and don't really care for the Svc Mgr at Hendrick. JM02. Beating on it is one thing but slow constant heat is another. Let me know if there's anything I can do.

No I haven't. I don't drive the truck much and this is the first time I will have to be taking it to the dealer. I don't see any stickers for a flash upgrade since my last oil change so I don't think they've done anything to it.

Nope, I was on the road and I called Lary on the phone. He looked up the code and then told me what it was so even though I wasn't on the computer, Lary took care of me. He got his info from the list you posted!!

Thanks for the reply Jack. Glad to hear it helped you out in a "roundabout way" anyway.

You're welcome John.
Took the truck to the dealer today. Tech did a couple of recalls on the truck and also did a reflash. The code went away. He didn't clean the turbo or replace any parts. He wants to see if the code will come back or stay gone. If it comes back, he said to bring it by and then they will clean the turbo and do whatever it is they do in this situation. The mechanic seemed to be well versed on this issue and I appreciate the advice of ratlratl on the dealer. He knows the two diesel guys there. Dave is the one that worked on my truck.

If the issue is addressed correctly they may have your truck a couple days. Quite of bit of dis-assembly, cleaning of componants, vac out intake, drop exhaust and clean, new egr cooler, updated o2 sensors, update ecm and ccn, provide you with a "customer info packet"....basically clean it from appetite to a-hole. Make it "like new" as the bulletin says. I've had really good success since Nov 08 with the info provided by Dodge and Cummins on these soot issues.
