Well I heading North on I-5 after leaving Seven Feathers RV Resort and about some place before Eugene when the truck was down shifting to start up a hill I got this whine/swooshing noise. At first I thought it might be the tranny but then I decided to watch the gauges a little bit more and noticed that it only happened as the boost started up past 5lbs and the boost would not really kick in and build up like it was suppose to. This rally sucks when yo are towing the fiver heading home from a bad few days at the casino. I think I just ate my Turbo, sounds as if the shaft broke on the impeller wheel. Does this sound like what it really is.

I just put $10k into the truck and this is the first time since the Injectors, Tranny and Turbo down pipe I've had a chance to test it and it let me down

 

I got to the bottem of it, the Turbo Boost outlet hose blew a hole in it.

 

Yea 10-4 on that. I was going to say it sounded like a hole in the piping or a loose clamp.

Glad it was not the Turbo.

 

Yeah when one of the bearings started to go in my father's PSD it made a loud annoying whine/groan.
