Loud Squeek at Shutdown
I know this question prolly has been asked to death but im just wonderin if anyone elses truck has the loud squeek when turned off?
I read its from the high compression and the sudden stop of all engine componets...but really I have no idea if thats true at all. And if so is there any way to make it quit haha?

I know there are people that don't like the belt chirp on shutdown
, but to be honest with you I love to hear it. Every time I shut down it reminds me I own a Cummins, and occasionaly when it doesn't do it, it pisses me off!

Normal, but please, dont refer to it as a squeak around anybody but us fellow CTD owners. I prefer to think of it as a short high pitched growl.

I emphatically agree. My buddy has a 97 12v that does it every time reguardless, I love to hear his truck pull in and shut down!
