has any of you heard of these simptoms and if so may be the solution, my 600s motor is very loud, louder than most ive heard. There seems to be some power loss, but the mileage is still good. Anybody heard anything like this happening with only 19k on the od? Please help!

 

We need more specifics...like what kind of sounds are you hearing...is it knocking, ticking or just overall louder than when it was new? Mine is definately louder now that I have some miles on it.

 

its a little of both sounds like it clatters more.

 

Try some adjustments on your quad box or pup. I know when I run my tst on 3 x 3 or more & my ez on # 2 . I get some additional noises. I turn my ez back down to setting 1 and clattering goes away. Just a thought

 

good thought, but i tried turning both of them off and engine noise remains the same. i wish i knew what an injector going out sounds like because thats what im thinking.

 

Are you using a diesel additive such as Power Service or Howes or Stanadyne? An additive will help to quiet it down. Mine has 20,000 miles and is louder now than when new.

 

where do you buy the additive and will it affect the fuel mileage in a negative or positive way?

 

Wallyworld has power service as we as MMO or 2 cycle oil..these will help quiet the engine down a little and up the fuel mileage a tad.
