Don't do what I did.

My truck had been shuddering under light load at 100 kmh / 1800 rpm for about a month now. Being a gas guy I assumed this was a lean condition caused by my chip or something fueling related and just tried to drive around it. After reading a post last week I went to a tranny shop and they determined it was my torque converter getting ready to expire. Once we got the pan off my 5000 km old tranny fluid was as black as my truck. (it was the ATF +4, not the Chevy stuff) Needless to say I need a transmission rebuild. Now I know better.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hopefully you have enough funds available and can get at least a somewhat built transmission.

I'm either going with a billet tc or a triple clutch tc. They say the triple is for a min. 650 hp. Should lower the stall a few hundred rpm. Shift kit should give it more pressure on lock up. Gonna be at least $2000. Or about $400 American.

Your parts will be at least $2000.00 real dollars!(American) A good valve body runs about $4-500.00 it self.....

I too am having some concerns about my tranny... Yesterday when backing a fairly heavy load up a slight hill my truck would buck wildly when I tried to back nicely. The only way I could get it to stop is to goose it to get it moving.. Also when sitting in traffic I put my trans in 2nd and let the motor help slow me down when everybody else is on and off the brakes. Sometimes if I get down to about 20mph it will sit and search for a gear between 1'st and 2nd untill I put it into 1'st manually. The *********** said I have to pay for a flush before they look into the trans. Because I just drained the pan and replaced with a deeper one and just topped off the fluid with amsoil universal atf which is compatible with atf+4 but he said I should only use mopar fluid at $5.00 a quart...Ha Ha

The last time I bought ATF+4, about a month ago, it was $3.90 a quart. This was at Texas Dodge in Amarillo. Your dealer must think you are rich!
