Loud Humm from front end on 4x4

Sorry, I spelled LOUD incorrectly in my last thread and the title did not make any sense. I will try it again.

I have about 75,000 miles on my 04 3500 DWR Cummins Auto 4x4.

About 5,000 miles ago I started hearing a loud roar when I get over 45 MPH. It sounds like I have big 35" monster mud tires on this thing.

The tires are the original Goodyears, and they are getting close to needing new skins. They are far from used up (about 1/4 inch of tread life on all of the tires).
I run about 60 psi in the duals, and 70 in the fronts. The fronts are staring to get a little chop in the tread pattern, but it was much worse on my 96 Dodge dullie without the noise.

I am assuming it is from the tires, but maybe the gurus on this site can tell me what this might be. It does not sound like the front diff. At least not the diff sound that I've heard elsewhere. Do these tire have a built in NOISE that starts when the tire life gets short?

Thanks in advance for any help or advise.

I had A similar noise on my 1st. Gen 350 dually 4X4 two words. Wheel Bearing! At least in my case. Try the simple fixes first tire rotation but if the noise is still there then don't waste time checking bearings or things could get real expensive.

I am am having the same problem now when getting off of a sharp turn exit ramp ever since I put my 315's on. The only thing that I was able to find was:

If a high pitch whistle is heard coming from the front of the vehicle while the vehicle is moving between 48 - 97 km/h (30 - 60 mph), inspect the position of the tie rod adjusting sleeve slot. If the slot is facing forward, the slot could catch air passing by it which could cause the whis- tle. To verify if the tie rod adjusting sleeve slot is causing the whistle, wrap tape around the sleeve so that the slot is completely covered (including the ends) and driving the vehicle in the suspect range. If the high pitch whistle sound is still heard, further diagnosis is required. If the sound has been corrected, position the tie rod adjusting sleeve so that the slot faces any direction except forward.

NOTE: WHEN ADJUSTING THE FRONT TOE OF THE VEHICLE, MAKE SURE THAT THE TIE ROD ADJUSTING SLEEVE IS SECURED IN A POSITION SO THAT THE SLOT IS IN ANY DIRECTION EXCEPT FORWARD

As already stated, probably hub bearings, but there is also a small possiblity that the u-joints are in the preliminary stages of failure.
A couple of simple things you can do to check for this is to go for a drive and get everything warmed up. Then crawl underneath and place a finger on each u-joint needle bearing, front and back on the front drive shaft. They should all be at about the same temperature. If one or two are warmer then the rest it could indicate lack of lubrication. Also take a close look at each bearing and see if there is any sign of a torn of displaced seal. If there is, that is a definite indication of imminent failure.
Of course, give each u-joint a good shake in all directions to check for wear.
