Angry Loss of acceleration on 2004 3500 4x4

When I am traveling and let off of the accelerator , it takes a few seconds to regain it. It's an automatic and it is steadily getting worse. I have already replaced the MAP sensor and that didn't work. Today I had to pull over three times within forty miles to keep from getting plowed over.
Can someone please help me.

Do you still have the fuel filter canister-mounted lift pump? How many miles on your fuel filter?

I replaced the lift pump at about 110,000 miles. I now have 183,000 miles and until now I haven't had a problem. However, I believe that I may have created my own trouble the last time I changed the fuel filter. I was looking everywhere and anywhere for whatever might catch my eye and I came across a vacuum line off of the cruise control module that runs right by the fuel filter. Well guess what? It was cracked. So I replaced it and cleared the codes by doing the ignition switch thing and did not have any trouble today.

Those little vacuum lines are plastic and get brittle. So I guess I need to be a little more careful.

I hope that was the problem.

Welcome to DTR! Fill out your signature so we know your truck and what mods you've made to it.

Do you have gauges on the truck? Whats the fuel pressure reading?

Is it slipping at all in the trans?

Did you put in tank lift pump or external?? You might have filter screen in tank plugged up. I would drop tank when empty and clean that filter. Did you do a fuel flow test from lift pump?

When I replaced the lift pump I did put the in-tank pump in. My fuel filter is new. I have not checked the fuel pressure. The trans. does seem to slip every now and then when I really stand on it from a slow speed.

The codes P2121 & P2122 are coming up.

Oh yea, I forgot to mention that it is still doing the same thing but steadily getting worse. I had to park it and drive my Jeep to work.

Do you think it's the APPS? The codes that are coming up say it's the TPS, but some information that I've read has said that 2004-2007 don't have a throttle positioning sensor.
