Loose Rotor?

I did my brakes not to long ago and all has been well for about 7,000 miles, but now i've got a rattle under the front end. I noticed that if i tap my brakes, i hear a clunk.
Last night i pulled my wheels off the front and noticed the drivers side (where the noise is at) rotor was loose. I could actually rock it forward and back before the holes caught the lugs.
Is this normal? What holds this on tight other then the wheels and lugs being tightened down?
I reinstalled the wheel and double checked the lugs were tight but still have the same noise.

The passenger side is nice and tight as one would,d expect, but the drivers side doesn't want to tighten down.

If your wheels are on tight your rotor cant be loose.

check to make sure the pads are not "walking" in the caliper. have seen a broken tab on the pad before and the pad walks in the caliper making a similar noise. happened on my harley once too.

Ill also check the pads, though they seemed tight at first glance. But i didnt look in detail at them.

I would have figured the rotor would be tight if the wheels were tight too. I did take the hub off (for ball joints) and i didnt even think of those. That will be my next check. Id sure hate to have the hub work its way off the truck at highway speeds!

Well.......found out real quick what was causing the noise.
Loose adapter plate/hub bolt. As soon as it fell out and hit the bottom of the truck, it made it rather obvious what the issue was
Luckily, this wasn't a fatal loss. Within 20 minutes i had it back in and safe again.

Guess 3 months of driving with no loc tite will work these loose.
