Yes, the original manufacturer does, I haven't tried one nor has anyone I know. You can sse them at: AAM TracRite Series

Although with the way the "limited slip" works I don't know if I'd ever buy anything from AAM.

Anyone found a way around the lame stock limited slip in these trucks? These things are no better than an open differential, period.

I like this one!
TracRiteªGTL

AAM's TracRiteª GTL differential is leading the way in technology. The TracRiteª GTL has added a locked mode. The locked mode is available automatically — via a programmed computer or driver selectable, or both. The TracRiteª GTL offers a high-quality solution for the customer's vehicle.

Well I called Randy's Ring & Pinion after checking out AAM 's web site. AAM has 3 differentials that sound like what i'm looking for GTL, EL & ECV. Open or fully locked at drivers will. Randy's does not know anything about them. I sent an email to AAM & left a voice mail. Hope to hear back in a day or so. In the meantime is anyone sure they are available in 11.5" & where one could be bought

PZM, I have an open rear now and was hoping for a lock up for the front and rear. I haven't gotten stuck yet but I don't bother stopping to pull buddies out of snow banks cause this thing is 2wd at best...one front...one back. Let us know what you hear from AAM... it sounds like this axle should accept those differentials as it is in the axle options. Anybody know the conversion for 11,300 Newton metres to Foot lbs. Yikes and I'm metric. ks

There are lockers available for the front axle, but the rear 1150 axle does not have anything aftermarket as far as I know. I think ARB was considering building one, but it would take a couple of years to complete. I was really hoping to run ARB's front and rear, but would settle for ARB front/Detroit rear if they came out with one sooner.

My stock limited slip holds pretty good... so far, anyway.

Anyone know if the AAM locking diff's can handle the torque when folks are using quad boxes, EZ's or others? Do these have the same ratings as stock for power handling?

I have contacted AAM about their lockers that they already make for these axles and all i got was the run around. I would talk to one guy who then sent me to another guy who then sent me to another one who never called me back. As far as I know no aftermarket axle dealers are set up to sell AAM stuff. You would think as many 3/4 and 1 Tons that there are on the road someone would come up with something by now.

I had the same experience. I even pretended not to be an "end user" and was looking for training information. Nobody returned my call.

Thanks for that info I'll probably go that route.

AFAIK, the TracRite GT is the only one available for the 11.5 rear gear.
