Look in the glove box. There should be an options sticker and it would say on it if it had it.

While truck is running.
Hold left foot on the brake...
Depress right foot on the throttle.. Increasing pressure on throttle.
When tire/tires start spinning, or boost is getting to high, let off brake and floor throttle...

If truck leaves two marks you have limited slip..
If truck leaves one mark you do not...

There may also be other ways of determining this.. but this one is fun!

Oops forgot.. Mine leaves two marks...

This is the most reliable way, and mine leaves 2 marks also.

Actually, the most reliable way would be to KNOW if it has limited slip or not. Your way just says you can spin both tires. I can do that from time to time without limited slip! Read the data tag in the glovebox, or pm me your vin. I can run it on the Chrysler webiste and get a list of vehicle options.

My window sticker from the dealership says "Anti-Spin Differential Rear Axle". Is this limited slip? Is that better than open for mud and snow? This truck sucks in the mud and snow compared to my 02 quad cab with same tires.

Does anyone make lockers for the 06 CTD yet?

Thanks,

My truck has the rear "Anti-Spin Diff" and it works great in the snow and on ice, works just great.

I do not think anyone is making a locker for the AAM 11.5 axle cept for the AAM TracRite (thats what the anti-spin diff is) http://www.aam.com/index.php?s=49 (helical gear limited slip)
