Lift Pump fuel pressure guage question
Lift Pump fuel pressure guage question
I am going to install a low pressure fuel gauge in my 2004.5.
I found this item on Ginos Garage site:
http://www.genosgarage.com/prodinfo.asp?number=LT_FFCPP
You apparently replace the screw on top of the fuel filter assembly with this cap and this gives easy access to the fuel pressure.
I am going to get an electric gauge of some type, I assume it needs a transponder device(fuel Pressure to electrical) to attach to the fuel outlet on the cap from Ginos???
Do the gauges have everything I need when I order a gauge..
i.e everything to complete the job from the outlet of the cap to the guage.
I have no problems with the electrical part of the job but am not very mechanical and dont want to tear my fuel lines apart.
I have been looking around a lot and am a bit confused....
Anyone know of any install instructions with pictures???
Thanks

I would not go with the pressure fitting on the top of the filter canister. Geno's will also tell you this, or they did me. The pressure fittings will be in the way each time you replace the filter.
Use the banjo bolt that will go on the fuel line at the bottom of the filter. I ran the fuel pump after I had the fuel pressure gage line in place before installing the transpondcer. That was to flush the line of any crud that I might have broken loose. I then mounted the transponder to the firewall.
My gauges came with all I needed to install except for the mount.
