Did you resurface the rotors? During use, pad material is depositied on the rotor surface. That's part of the bedding in process, and they work better. If you change pad types, you need to remove that depositied material from the rotor.

I use a 120grit sanding disc in a drill motor.

If you follow the bedding in process to the letter, you'll get much better braking and longer pad life.

Nope, I just installed new pads. They are the same as the OEM ones, semi-metallic. Next time I do brakes (if I still own this truck) I will replace the rotors.
