Leaking tranny and front diff pinon seal

I just did my first oil change (at least the first one I did myself) and was under the truck looking around. I noticed some oil residue that looked like it had leaked out of the tranny near the torque converter inspection plate. Then I also noticed that the bottom and rear of the front differential looked wet, and had some oil just barely leaking down from the pinon seal. This truck is relatively new (8000 miles) and just a few weeks ago I did give it a pretty good 4x4 workout. The leaks are not bad at all, and there hasn't even been any drips, I just notice a "wetness" in these two locations. Should I be concerned? Or might this be normal as new seals expand and seat? Thanks.

is the oil between the engine and transmission, trans fluid(red) or engine oil?
the crank case breather tube also vents down onto the front axle so make sure it is not just vent tube oil.
there have been quite a few pinion seals go from what I have seen around here.
the seals on the pinion shaft defiantly do not expand and seat, the seal lip rides on the pinion shaft and keeps the fluid in if it expanded it would leak for sure.

BTW you need to fill out your Sig

The stuff near the torque conv is def tranny fluid. Looks like it came out of the bottom of the inspection plate.

I'll check the front axle a little better. I know where the crankcase vent is and this sure looks like a pinon seal leak.

Any thing else?
