Has any one replaced the gears in their early g56 for the ones in their later ’07.5+ model? I have a b-line on a newer g56 with a cracked case and was thinking of doing the swap, but wasn’t sure if you can just buy the newer gears from Dodge.

My rear main engine seal is leaking so I figured; why not swap the trans gears while I have it out? ….problem is I don’t know if this used trans is cheaper than just buying the gears new.

I have a GV, but my “tinker-itus” gets the best of me, I was thinking of swapping the trans gears, throwing in some, 3.42’s, some larger meats and retiring the GV. Might sell the GV or put it on another project I have.
