i had a very nice 1500 v8 2000 ram with very low k's and auto gearbox problems. i accquired a 20035.9cummins gearbox transfer case loom cluster .after 18 mths thetruck is going well apart from not changing gears in drive ithink the computer has locked in limp home mode being quite rare in aussi land i have exhausted every one's ideas .the local chrysler technician plugged his diagnostic kit and it showed no codes to shed any light on problem has anyone experienced anything similar mac mcdiarmid desparate aussie

 

Is it staying in first gear or starting in 2nd or 3rd? If it is starting in 2nd or 3rd there is a sensor in the transmission that needs replaced. Sorry I can't remember where it is in the tranny or what it is called.

thanks monroe i'll check the cd to see if i can follow the sensors yes it is starting off in 3rd the only lights that show when you select gears are park and neutral i'll let you know if i get lucky mac d
