lack of greease nipples on front end parts

I have a dodge megacab 1500 2006 gas engine . I had to get the ball and u-joints on drivers side repalced recently with 36 km on the truck. I asked to have parts with grease nipples put on there and was told they don't come with grease nipples. Can you tap these replacement parts and put grease nipples on them prior to installing them on the veichle .

THe dealer musta done them?
You can get aftermarket BJ's with grease fittings, for some reason DODGE doesn't have them or greaseable axle u joints (or any greaseable u joints for that matter).

I wouldn't screw around trying to add nipples to them, never heard of anyone doing that.

Welcome aboard, this is a great place to learn all kindsa cool stuff about youre truck. Why not fill in your signature so we can see what you have?

Mine doesn't (I'm gonna look again though), just the front one.

Well Fisherguy I will have to shop around, luckily even though I was outside my warranty they refunded me the cost when I applied for good will assistance. The u-joint will be a warranty job as the truck is only 3 years old. Oddly enough though they have one fitting in front end at the end of the cross link I think, the part that there was a recall on this year.

I will have to figure out how to add my signature.

I drilled and tapped my front end tie rods when I put the '08.5+ steering upgrade in. I don't think I'd recommend doing it to ujoints though.
