Long story short. Been fighting this code for over a year.. Power loss then the occasionally stall when driving. Lately truck has been running fine, but on Monday and tues when I idled my truck a few minutes before leaving work- when I left work both nights the truck had stalled!! So last night I did the same thing but sat in the truck . After five minutes the exhaust tone changed like somebody was partially blocking the tail pipe. But the engine rpms stayed the same. Truck was in high idle mode / temps in the teens. This time I gently rev'd the engine and went back into work for five minutes. When I left truck was still running .. Only code shown is po514 battery temp sensor which has come and gone since I bought the truck new. The volt/ battery gauge was fluctuating a bit which has not happened before. Truck is a 2004.5 . Batteries two years old. No smoke. Injectors are two years old- industrial injection. Fca is two months old. Related to code po148?? Or is my issue related to po514?

 

Another thing- stock fuel filter one week old. After market two micron fuel filter one month old. Diesel fuel not gelled- always bought at same fuel station

 

What is fuel pressure key on engine not running? Should be under 50psi. Check fuel volume to CP3 pump also PLV for leakage.

 

Prv- is six months old.. Modded one from tc diesel. Will check though. Fuel pressure? Will check on sat with buddy's snap on scanner. Thanks
