Exclamation Truck Throwing Code P0148 PLEASE HELP!

The truck is cutting out really bad. I put it back in stock and it is throwing this code: High Pressure Common Rail-Check HPCR Pressure. CODE PO148

Any suggestions on what to do? I had chip in it, the Smarty. And it has the updated version (Revo). It started cutting out so I took the chip off and now its throwing the code.

PLEASE HELP!

I had this problem one time also. Ended up being an air leak in a fuel line. Put in a walbro pump and didn't tape one fitting and it sucked air through the threads.

0148 code means that there is a difference between the demanded rail pressure per the ECM and the actual rail pressure measured by the rail sensor. Common problems include inadequate lift pump not supplying the cp3 enough, air in the lines, cp3 problem, FCA problem, leak of the hi p. rail lines, leak between connector tube and injector. I would start at the fuel tank and work foward, measure your fuel pressure before the cp3. I can walk you through the diagnostic process if you would like, pm me. Jay

My lift pump crapped 2 weeks ago, P0628 and P0148 were both there after the truck quit running. Check the filter and lift pump!
