Installing gauges - what size wire needed???

This may sound like a pretty dumb question, but I do wwant to goof things up....

I am ready to install my boost, trans temp and pyro gauges....never did this before, but it doesn't seem too hard.

Anyway, I will lneed to add some wire to a few of the gauges, for the trans temp gauge and the lighting for night driving...I remember reading somewhere that 18 gauge wire should be used for all of these hookups, but I am not certain.

I would hate to use too small a gauge of wire and burn something up....any advice????

Ditto the 18ga. If you buy one of the 3 gauge universal wiring kits, they come with 18 gauge for lighting. The pyro probe wire is 16 but you shouldn't need to furnish any of that yourself.
