Injector question

I need to replace the injectors on my 03 3500 6 spd. I have the 305 hp motor. Is there any difference in injectors for this motor vs the 245 hp. I was under the impression they were the same but my parts supplier claims there is a HO injector which he does not stock. He wants the part number off my injectors. I don't really want to pull them until I have new ones in hand.

You have the 503 injector. Difference in SO/HO was A/T vs manual. My understanding is the difference was in the ECM setting, not the inj. itself. I'd go new, not remans. Last set I bought came from Direct Injectors in CA. Good to deal with and best pricing as well. Good luck.

Last year I was in need of injectors and after driving myself crazy with all of the options and prices I settled on re-mans from Exergy. I heard a lot of good things about them. Well I've had them for over a year and about 30K miles and no problems so far. HTH

Another option is your stock injectors. You can easily pull them out. send them to bosch. they will run a test and if they pass they can HONE them out. Its super quick, super cheap. This is what I did cause at the time I didn't know where I was going with my truck. So this deal worked amazing. then here sometime I am going to uprgrade to something when I figure what I want with my upgrades

If timing is an issue and you need to get the truck back together right away, sending them out for rebuild is not an option.
I just replaced mine and found the best price on Industrial 60 hp sticks from T&C diesel. Todd there was very helpful and accommodating as well.
As it was explained to me there are essentially 3 types of injectors you can get.
The cheap remans you see for less then $300 ea are not worth it as those only have the part that was worn out replaced. IE you could a USED but good functioning injector.
Ones that are labeled as NEW are still remans but only the old injector body is used. All the parts are new. Except Bosch marine injectors. They are brand new but not reccomended for various reasons. These are the $350 to 500 versions.
Completely new or virgin injectors are around $800 a pop.
Hope this helps and call T&C. They steered me straight and better price than from Industrial direct.

Where did you get those prices from??? You can get new, stock injectors from Exergy for @$360. From what I've read they are the leader for injectors....HTH

Try https://www.injectorsdirect.com/prod...dodge-cummins/
They have new, unused for a great price, and easy to work with. I'd recommend new X tubes as well. I put them in my 04.5 and it acts like a new truck again w/515k on it. Good luck.
