Injector question
Since I've never heard [ just because I haven't heard , doesn't mean anything ] of putting in larger returns , I may be suspect of the techs opinion , some are putting in bigger supply lines , fittings , ect.
If you have a chance maybe a picture posted would be a help .
Have you done any of the mods. on the truck ? or is that the way you got it ?

I'm not trying to put larger returns in if that's what you're thinking John??
My problem is the fuel return line inside my injectors is allowing too much fuel to go back to the supply, and the truck is not starting.
Spec on the lines is 90 ml (or whatever unit they use to measure)
I am getting more than 400 ml back....

I miss read , I thought the tech said that you had over sized return lines , now that we are getting on the same page its starting to make sense , its seems that the way he is looking at this is back wards , he should be measuring the fuel pressure , its unusual to measure the return , but the return is how the fuel pressure is controlled , restricting the return is how the pressure is created , on my truck its called the overflow valve , if the restriction is lower then the fuel pressure is going to be lower , higher restriction raises the fuel pressure .
What were you taking the truck in for in the beginning ?
Then we may be able to get were you want to go , fixing a problem .

Hay Don M , that sounds like it would only happen to electronic injectors , is that so ?
I guess I'm suck in the mechanical injector world , or should I say thats were I want to be .
Hay Woodzy , how many miles on the truck , its a shame that you've got 3-4 yrs. on those injectors .

Hopefully you got it for a good price , or how long since you bought it , did you get from private party or dealer , maybe if you just got it , you could work something out with the seller if you paid a top price .
Then there the bright side , now its a good time to up grade , from what I've read , Don M , that posted about internal leak is a good source , check with him on options , after you try for some deal with the seller , if they gave you a good price that reflected the injectors , or not , of course some of this stuff can come out of the blue , with no symptoms .

Woodzy,
I have the same problem. Only way to get the beast started is to give it a shot of starting fluid. At first it took ALOT of cranking to get it started and then it got progressively worse. Now it won't start without the starting fluid. Have my heater grid disconnected so I don't blow us up. Dodge wants the truck for 2 days to diag. which supply line. Can't afford to have the truck down for 2 days right yet, plus the bucks it's gonna cost @ $75.00/hr labor.
What I was told, is that a supply line is leaking back into the rail causing a high fuel return code, which won't allow it to start. As I said, a shot of starting fluid will get it running. None of my injectors are leaking into the crankcase. Been this way for a while now. Hopefully I can get it fixed soon.
Let us know how you make out with the dealer.
