Injector instalation
Injector swap
I've done it. It isn't hard, you do need a couple of torque wrenches. Low numbers of foot pounds, and an inch pound wrench too.
To pull the injectors they say you need a special tool. I made a custom pry bar by bending a screwdriver.
When you pull the tubes the bring fuel to the injectors you may want to play it safe and replace the O rings there. I also replaced the O rings on the injectors. They might still be good, and you might get away with re-using them. It's up to you and how lucky you feel. You do need to account for the copper seals at the tip of the injectors. Make sure you have removed all 6 and you must use new ones. Once they deform to make a seal they won't work again.
Good luck.

To do it per specs you will also need a 19mm(?) crows foot and a 24(?) or the standard equivalent. Cant remember the exact size but I know the larger one is a pain to find. Dont cut any corners and take your time. Remove all fuel lines completley from the rail, gives you alot more room to work. Do not bend these like some moron told me to do inorder to save time. Pretty easy job, detailed instruction are online, with pics.
Just make sure you have injectors that come flow tested and I do not recommend just buying tips, as two diesel shops I know of have quit installing tips due to problems. Full flow tested injectors are much better and easier, trust me I almost destroyed my motor just installing tips.
Good luck.
Oh and the crows feet are to torque the fuel lines while holding the connector tube nut still.
