Injector Failure, any other damage?

Lost #1 and #6 injectors at 45k miles, had them replaced at local dealer under warranty and they said everything else was fine. I asked if they could tell what caused failure, (clogged, electric, ect.) and they didn't know. Didn't drive very far once engine started missing, and i changed oil right after they replaced injectors. Oil level seemed a bit high? but couldn't detect any fuel in oil. Should I be worried about damage to cylinders or pistons? It sounds like injector failure can cause wash down of cylinder walls and burn top of piston? Worth checking for such damage and are there any signs i should watch out for?

I have since added 2 mic fuel filtration, hopefully that will help.

Thanks, Ryan
