Injector dirty?

So, I have a 2006 cream puff with 85,000 miles. Recently, I started getting a rough idle at startup with a little puff of white smoke. After about 1 mile or so it would clear up. So I put in an entire bottle of the grey Power Service and a full tank of diesel. I have used half of the tank, and now it still idles a little rough at startup (cold) but clears up smooth within one block. So it seems like the power service is working. There's is no blow-by and the oil level is perfect. I'm not getting any codes. Does this mean that the injectors are dirty or is one of the injectors going south?

I had a similar problem with my 05 when I bought it 6 years ago. I used the recomended amount in a few fill ups and the problem went away for good. I continue to use the grey Power Service at every fillup. I would question your using an entire bottle at one time??!! I don't believe this is the correct way.

"Hows Meaner Cleaner" as directed should clean up your injectors.

Yes, I see your concern. When I read the directions on the bottle, which state that you double the amount in order to clean the injectors, I realized that I would be left with a small amount in the bottle (less that 8 oz). So, I decided just to poor the whole amount in. It was a full tank, so I'm hoping there's no negative results.

Last night I added a GDP MK2 filter kit, which supposedly filters up to 2 microns. I've been reading on here that the stock filtration of 7 microns is causing problems and that BOSCH recommends no less than 3 micron filtration. We'll see how it goes, I'll keep you guys posted.

Using a full bottle is not going to hurt a thing

I've used up the whole tank of diesel with the Power Service Diesel Kleen in it. However, I still get the puff of white smoke at startup and it still runs rough for a block or so then clears up smooth. Could this be more than just a dirty injector?
