idling with open fuel cap?
idling with open fuel cap?
well the weather is getting cold again and i am fighting to keep the truck warm. anyone know if the truck will pop a check engine light if i refuel with the engine running?
I accidently left my cap off for aboout 2 miles the other day and mine stalled and the check engine light came on. It went off after a day and a half but then it stalled and the light came on again a few days later. I had the dealer look at it today...They reset/reflashed for me but couldn't find anything else. I don't think it was a coincidence but I guess we'll see if it happens again.
I have yet to do a tank vent mod so I shut down as it takes at least 10 minutes to get liquid up the spout! It's that last 4-5 gallons that take all the time, but that's worth 80-100 miles easy!
