I am going to pull this to see if it is what is making the sound on startup. It looks like it's wedged in between the fan and the radiator pretty good. What's the best way to get to it, or can the fan shroud be removed?

 

youn can remove it with outtaking any thing but the belt off. if its bad it should make noise all the time
