Exclamation identify this piece in engine bay

hi iam looking to up grade my liftpump but was thinking to go with the GDP 392 but on there website it says you cannot use the 2 micron filter mount cause of the unit that is located right beside the intake manifold... or should i use the GDP boss pump? TIA

The APPS?

Id just try to find another place to mount it, I believe they have a universal mounting kit that supplies more hose so you have more options to mount it...

If your tranny line pressure is controlled electronically instead of by wire, you'll need the universal remote mount. Im not sure about the 04.5, but on my 03 its controlled by wire.

on an 04.5 the apps can be in one of 3 spots, to the right of the "valve cover", at teh fuel peddle, or under the battery, go figure, a parts bin clearin bonanza. And a nightmare for aftermarket engineers.
