I need a a hand

I have 2003 that has had numerous problems.
I have narrowed it down to a ECM issue. Does anyone in the Red Deer Ab area have a BD or perfer a Smarty that can flash my truck for me.

reason behind this is to try and see if a other then DC flash will help with my truck.
Some where along the line I think the prigramming has been mixed.

any ways cheers.
a few beers will be exchanged for this service.

Off topic, but how did you get a SO with 48RE? Is it a CA emissions (235hp)truck?

Maybe that's why it's confused

Its a 250 hp with the 48re. Not many of them out there but non the less they are around.

The truck use to run awesome, then DC did something, either replaced the ECM or they changed the programming and things went down hill.

ME too! I thought I had the only one! You're right, though, not a lot of them around. Sorry.....too far to help.

Yup, they started making them that way in the last of the 03s when they finally ran out of 47res. There are plenty of 04s that way too....

I always thought there were only four flavors of auto tranny configurations in '03-'04:

SO w/47RE
Calif. SO w/47RE
Calif. SO w/48RE
HO w/48r48REe

Now there's a fifth (and don't even get me started on rear diffs). I guess you learn something new everyday. Wonder if they just had more SO engines than 47RE trannys left in the parts bin?
