I recently bought a new 05 CTD w/ the G56, since i brought it home it popped out of third gear, brought it in for warrenty work. Dealer said they'd order me new trans well today while driving it home from the dealer since I forgot my lisence to get a rental car, I downshifted and next thing I know the clutch won't engage so I had to limp home and the truck shakes bad at idle. So tomarrow I need to get it towed to dealer.

 

Well you got a problem, dealers going to fix it. Dont hate it , You get it strieghtened around and you'll love it.

 

Please keep us informed, sure would like to know the actual cause of this problem.

 

I also want to know. FYI, when he installs the new trans tell him to make sure the dual mass flywheel is properly aligned to the trans input shaft. That's where your idle shake is coming from.

So far all they said is it needs a new cluth in addition to the trans, I'll get more info when I go to the dealer to pick it up Monday...I have a TST and a AFE waiting to go on, I want my truck back
