I just filled up after my first use of 50/50 Howes Meaner Cleaner and MMO, 16 oz to a tank. The mileage jumped to 16.9 from previous averages of 15.3 to 16.1 mpg using 16 oz of 50/50 Power Service/MMO per tank. The truck is an 2006 with just under 2400 m. on it.
I'm impressed and convinced that Howes is good stuff!

Just bought my first bottle today, added 4oz to a full tank. Is that enough? It coincides with the recomended amount, but should I use more? What would be the difference?

If it stops the ticking on your third gen then it is enough!! I tried everything and it would not stop the ticking which drove me crazy!! Much like pinging in a gasser, but while ideling in gear.

If it has stopped the pinging you're good to go!!

I think it should be about 8-9oz per the temp you run in.

Are you saying it worked for you. I found a dealer in the L.A. area but haven't purchased any yet. I guess I really don't believe anything will make much of a difference as I've pretty much tried most of the big names already.
Thanks.

Power Kleaner

Took a trip to Nashville to deliver a morotcycle Friday. Stopped at the Flyin -J on the way home. Put about 10 oz of the power kleaner in and my "ticking" has gone away and I went from 16.7 to 19.4 mpg ( hand calc)
Good stuff right there boys.

Thank you for the info on this stuff.....

I tried some in mine a couple weeks ago while towing my trailer to Mississippi and back to Va. I saw no improvements in mileage or performance. If you see a big gain my guess is that your truck had issues somewhere. It didn't do diddly on my new 07... I tried just diesel fuel alone, PS/MMO mix, Howes, and a combination of all of them. No difference no matter what I tried...

It's possible that you had an injector issue which was cleared up by using the Howes. That's great!!

I read and hear how great this stuff is but if it is as good as they claim then how come its not available at the local auto store or Wal-Mart etc. Why just truck stops and mail order?? Next time I go by a truck stop I'm going to buy some and try it out but I just wonder why its not easier to purchase?

Do you really think you are going to find good stuff at WallyWorld? That's where you get all the cheap stuff at. They carry very few quality products. It's a discount chain. IMHO

While taking a trip up to Utica, NY during the Valentines day blizzard, I fuled up at a truck stop in PA. Saw Howes Diesel fuel treatment, not the meaner cleaner, decided to try it. Honest, too god! Within two tank fill-ups, the fuel presurre reading on my fuel pressure gauge went up two psi, and my mpg has went up 1 mgp. Use to, I my fuel-pressure ran between 8-10psi(under load/idle), now it runs between 10-12psi, never gets below 10 psi. Also, the truck definitely runs better. Definitely impressed by the Howes products.

OK so maybe not Wally but what about the auto stores?? And last time I looked, Wally has some name brand items...its a discount store yes but not a .99 store. Just wonder why it so hard to get?
