Meaner Cleaner

Supersonic,

I had the same problem with finding the right product. I picked up and bought the anti gel in the stubby bottle. After re-reading this thread I realized I bought the wrong bottle and went back to Flyin J. They keep the Meaner Cleaner on the shelf by the Power Service at my local "J". They keep the anti gel (tons of it) out on the sidewalk with other anti gel products. Good luck.

I get mine at a Freightliner dealer.

They always have cases of the anti-gel piled up high.

But the Meaner Kleaner is usually on a separate shelf in individual bottles. Was in there a couple times before I saw it.

They never have more than 4 or 5 bottles on the shelf. Not sure why.

I have used Howe's for years and the Meaner Power Cleaner for the last year. The stuff works as advertised in my trucks. I NEVER add at the station. Just wait til I get home and feel like messing with it. I use an old 32 oz. MMO bottle. I funnel 4 oz of "Meaner" in the bottle then into the truck tank for 10 to 15 gallons of fuel. Tried the add at the station bit. Saw no difference in performance just adding later.

I picked some up and have not seen any difference people have described. It is only my first tank and I will use the bottle since I paid for it and see if there is any change. None so far though.

Pics of the marks on the bottle and an intersting warning that it does not comply with ULSD and 2007 vehicles. Another sticker says "Safe For Diesel Engines. Used as directed. Adds lass than 1ppm sulfur. (I take it has sulfur in it)

The picture is deceving. It is in lighter outside than inside light. I just shot a quick picture and did not want to setup proper lighting. Here is the front of the bottle.

The first time I used it, I got a little excited and poured half the bottle in. My mileage was definately better by 2mpg. Since then, I use about 1/3 bottle per tank. The benefits are not as noticeable.

hey everyone... The GM boys sent our company a letter awhile back telling us to run standadyne jr. to keep our iszus alive. Tried it three different times, had three different failures, injectors, injection pump, then another set of injectors.... down time, down time, down time.. Started runing cheap ATF, no failures, jsut NOT the way to "fix" it. Started running Cat fuel conditioner, can't really speak to fuel consumption 'cause these trucks are loaded everytime they leave to driveway. But, no failures and a little more umph.
