How much for TSB install

I called the ******* today to find out when I could get my truck in for the Fuel Economy TSB and they told me that it would cost $78 to have it done. Is this right, and if so how much on average do you guys pay? Thanks.

I had the mileage tsb done about a two weeks ago and they did not charge me but my truck is still under warranty also, not sure but I think that is when they can charge us for them is once your truck is out of warranty.

Hope this helps,

If it is still under warranty. They should do it "FREE". If it is out of warranty a "GOOD" dealer would do it free. If your dealer now want's to charge you to do it. Go find you a "GOOD" dealer and tell your current dealer to stick it.

If it is still under warranty, go in and tell them that you are getting white smoke on cold starts, and the overhead is not accurate. The tsb 18-037-04 is what they should do to fix it under warranty.

If you just go in and ask for the TSB, they may charge you, but if you tell them you are having issues and tell them the "symptoms" it becomes a warranty fix.

How do I get an up-to-date list of all the TSB's for my new 06' CTD 3500 4x4 other than the local dealer?

I could be wrong but I think this TSB is only for 04.5 and up.

Have a similar problem with a 2005 and wanting the high idle feature enabled. Since the TSB is for 2004 and prior year vehicles, the dealer wants $80 and the other one won't provide me with solid info and I don't care for there service dept anyways.

Gave up for now and hope the TSB will be added to 2005's in the near future.

TSB's can only be covered when your truck is still under warranty, a recall on the other hand is free for life. They are not the same although most people think they are the same, luckily everyone here knows the differnce
