How many miles will it run

looking @ a 2006/3500/5.9/6spd/ 260K. it has been used since new to pull a trailer hauling cars avg. loaded weight 12K / 15K. do not know if it has or had any mods. what i be checking or should i avoid period. Thanks

If it's been meticulously maintained, the motor has plenty of life left. I would be worried about everything else...the tranny, brakes, front end, anything that isn't a Cummins product. Also, unless this fella is basically giving the truck away, you can find something with fewer miles. If you don't mind me asking, what is the price?

I just paid 15,775.00 for the truck in sig. It had 67,000 miles on it. It was stock and drives great.
Found a guy wanting pay off.
Minor dings and scratchs.

You can do better unless you can deal real well. Take 5k off that and you would have a decent price.

15K is way too much. I'd politely inform the seller that he/she is insane and take your money elsewhere. There are plenty of trucks around that price with substantially fewer miles. I recommend autotrader.com and craigslist.

Tell them to get around $10,000.00 Newer year but that means nothing with that many miles
