How long did your u joints last

Mine are starting to crap out. Just wondering what kind of life others had seen out of them.

Had all mine replaced at 24,000 miles. Feels like they are getting loose again. I have 45,000 miles on it now. Obviously, I'm not real impressed with the u-joints on this truck.

The 2 rear were replaced at 40k under the 7/70 with $100 deductible. I wasn't impressed with that because I don't tow heavy and I don't have a box.

You will hear a squeaking noise at first on takeoff and when it gets worse there may be a shutter. My got to the point where the whole truck would shake when braking rather quickly after the squeaking started.

My front axle outer U joints needed replacement at 24,000 miles along with the right front wheel bearing. Not too impressed!

I'm tired of changing these u joints.....they usually last about 60 00km or so....Greasable ones are precision 295 for autos and 350's for 6 speeds

46,000 and counting - haul heavy sometimes - 7,000 lb tractor and accessories - 8,000 to 9,500 lbs of cattle in a 3,500 lb trailer - large round bales of hay 10X1,500 lbs each (short diatances) and lots of running around the pasture in all-wheel-go - knock on wood; no U joint problems yet.

52,000 for the middle one
59000 for the front and rear
69000 for the drivers side front axle

Mine acted the same as nirion. The dealership only saved the first one for me to look at, one ear of it had a clump of lube that looked like plastic jamming it up and there were no needle bearings left in it
