How do you know if your Tq Convertor is on its way out?

I personally have started to notice a slight studder at 1-2 shift under light acceleration. It doesn't do it all the time, and from what I can gather only when cold. Any suggestions?

i had to floor my truck to get her to move. sometimes would not even move, just rev up. sometimes it was normal. i was told that was caused by my tc being screwed up. had it replaced now fine

My trannsmission feels fine but I can not power brake with the quad on 100. I assume that the tranny is getting week. Anybody had the same problems
